Recipe : Chicken and Vegetable Stir-Fry : A Quick and Healthy Meal

- Ingredients :

2 chicken breasts, sliced into thin strips

1 cup broccoli florets

1 red bell pepper, chopped

1 green bell pepper, chopped

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 garlic cloves, minced

1 tablespoon ginger, minced

3 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon oyster sauce

1 tablespoon honey or brown sugar

Salt and pepper to taste

1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water (optional, for thickening)

- Instructions :

Prepare the Ingredients: Slice the chicken breasts into thin strips. Chop the broccoli into florets and the bell peppers into bite-sized pieces.

Heat the Oil: In a large pan or wok, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.

Cook the Chicken: Add the chicken strips to the pan. Season with a little salt and pepper. Stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and slightly golden. Remove the chicken from the pan and set it aside.

Sauté Vegetables: In the same pan, add a little more oil if needed, then add the garlic and ginger. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant. Add the broccoli florets and bell peppers. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes, until the vegetables are tender-crisp.

Combine Chicken and Sauce: Return the chicken to the pan with the vegetables. Add the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and honey (or brown sugar). Stir well to combine all the ingredients. If you prefer a thicker sauce, add the cornstarch slurry and stir until the sauce thickens.

Serve: Remove from heat and serve hot over steamed rice or noodles.

- Tips :

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in soy sauce, ginger, and garlic for 15 minutes before cooking.

Add other vegetables like snap peas, carrots, or baby corn for more variety.

Adjust the seasoning to your preference; you can add a splash of rice vinegar or a sprinkle of red pepper flakes for a bit of tang or heat.

Enjoy this delicious Chicken and Vegetable Stir-Fry, a wholesome meal that’s quick to make and full of flavor!
